The Minis had their first rehearsal of the season! CM led them in singing a few of their songs and playing a few fun games. I was helping at the front desk during this time, but according to CM, our tiniest singers are already singing out marvelously!
The Littles were led, as I mentioned, by our wonderful helper/assistant director Kathy, while CM attended to the parents meeting. She picked up where CM had left off last rehearsal and taught the last verse of "Who, Me?", and reviewed the rest of the song, also throwing in the ending of "Seven Feet of Snow", which the Littles had a puppet show for so they could go over the words. Kathy also started the Littles learning "Who Can The Stranger Be?", and read them a lovely classic Robert Munsch story.
The Children started off with me leading warm-ups, and once CM returned from the meeting, she took over with reviewing the songs from last time and going over a few scenes. There will be a few changes to seating/parts next rehearsal--we don't have a lot of Altos this year, and we'd like to see if we can remedy that.
The Youth reviewed a few of their songs from last time, went over a scene or two, and worked on a scene in the hallway. Youth, please have your lines memorized ASAP since it makes things much easier when working on scenes in the hallway, and it's easier for you to present those scenes later in rehearsal!
Now, does anyone want/need me to put up the Youth cast list, or should I leave it be? I am, after all, a busy university student (who really needs to find time to clean her room)...
